1. What we collect
To create an account and make bookings, we collect your name, email address, and booking details (dive dates, number of divers, occupancy preferences). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google. If you become an operator, we additionally collect business details and certification documents for verification.
2. How we use it
We use your information to process bookings, communicate with you about upcoming dives, send booking confirmations, and operate core features like favorites, reviews, and your dive log. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by our third-party payment gateway (Billplz). We do not store your full card or bank details on our servers — payment credentials are handled directly by the payment provider.
4. Sharing with operators
When you make a booking, we share the details necessary to fulfil it — your name, number of divers, and any notes you provide — with the dive operator you booked with. Operators do not receive your account password or payment credentials.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) using access controls that restrict data to your own account, the operator you book with, and DSCND administrators. Admin accounts are protected with two-factor authentication.
6. Your choices
You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@dscnd.my. Booking records may be retained where required for financial or legal record-keeping.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
